Eligibility:
Previous experience in particle synthesis, light scattering techniques, emulsions and surfactancts, optical spectroscopy, electrochemical analysis, electron microscopy and image analysis would be helpful. The successful candidates will have completed a Ph.D. in materials science, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering or a related area. The ability and willingness to communicate and collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary environment are essential.

Scholarship Description: The INM – Leibniz Institute for New Materials, situated in Saarbrücken (Germany), engages in fundamental and applied materials research – from molecules to pilot production. Our main research fields are “Chemical nanotechnology“, “Interface Materials” and “Materials in Biology”.
We develop nanostructured materials from a chemical, physical and biological perspective, investigate material properties and promote their potential applications in industrial collaborations. We develop for companies worldwide and cooperate with national and international institutions. The institute employs some 180 collaborators and has an annual budget of about 17,9 million Euros.
