Purpose of award: To recognize outstanding students who demonstrate how they have overcome the challenge of epilepsy in their lives.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be high school seniors or college undergraduates currently under a physician's care for epilepsy, demonstrate achievement in academic and extracurricular activities and submit verification of academic status and two letters of recommendation. Selection is made by a panel of judges composed of opinion leaders in the fields of medicine and education.
