Purpose of award: The scholarship is named after Navin Narayan, a former youth volunteer with the Red Cross who died from cancer at the age of 23. In his honor, the Red Cross awards this scholarship to youth volunteers who have made significant humanitarian contributions to the organization and who have also achieved academic excellence in high school.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must plan to attend a four-year college or university and have volunteered a minimum of two years with the Red Cross.
