Purpose of award: To assist Michigan students in meeting the cost of tuition and fees in pursuit of an associate's degree at a Michigan community college, college or university.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be Michigan residents and enrolled in a program leading to an associate degree. Applicants must have scored at level 1 or level 2 on the Michigan Education Assessment Program (MEAP) tests in reading, writing, mathematics, and science. Applicants must also be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant. Applicants who meet all criteria except for the MEAP test level requirement are eligible for the PASS award for one year and may receive continued aid if satisfactory academic progress is maintained.
